Dr. Rice received his undergraduate degree in Medicine at Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. From Davidson, Dr. Rice moved to Charleston and obtained his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va. Dr. Rice went on to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where he completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr. Rice is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, USC-School of Medicine. Prior to coming back to Columbia Dr. Rice was an assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Rice is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
